What is Mative Cloud Things Connector
Mative Cloud Things Connector is the universal IoT connectivity layer of the Mative Cloud platform. It provides a scalable, protocol-agnostic gateway for connecting devices, sensors, industrial machines, and third-party systems to the Mative ecosystem.
Core Capabilities
- Multi-protocol support: MQTT, HTTP, CoAP, LwM2M, SNMP, and OPC-UA
- Device lifecycle management: provisioning, configuration, firmware updates
- Real-time dashboards: customizable widgets for monitoring device telemetry
- Rule engine: event-driven automation and alert management
- Integration: native data routing to Synapsis Analysis and Mative Cloud LM – Logistics Manager
Modules
Things Connector is a universal platform with ready-made vertical modules. Each module has its own documentation section; modules without a link are documented soon.
| Module | For | What it does |
|---|---|---|
| Fleet Monitor | Rental companies, car sharing operators and fleet managers | Live status of the whole fleet, trips and replay, alarm centre, deadlines, remote commands and fleet statistics |
| Site Monitor | Construction, earthmoving and mining companies | Live status of the machines, construction sites with works and KPIs by machine type (excavators, loaders, rollers, concrete pumps, telehandlers), purchases, payments, incentives and documents of the machines |
| Drive | Private owners of a single vehicle | Position and status of your vehicle, trips, alarms, deadlines and engine lock, from the web or the Mative Cloud TC - Mobile app |
| Car Rental | Vehicle rental companies | Contracts with signature and OTP, CaRGOS communications to the Italian State Police, handover and return with photos, customers, damages, accidents, fines and cases |
| Emergency Center | Rental companies, fleets and public transport | After a crash, an SOS or a movement with the engine off, an AI voice assistant calls the vehicle's contact and explains what happened; every call is recorded, transcribed and summarised by Synapsis ML |
| Installation Test | Installers | Guided test of a newly installed tracker in 8 steps, commands filtered by model, vehicle data and PDF test report, from the phone |
| Cold Chain | Carriers of perishable goods: consumer goods, food, pharmaceuticals | Remote monitoring of refrigerated vehicles: temperature and humidity of the cargo area and outside temperature, with thresholds and alarms, driver and plate, trends over time and the route with trip replay |
| Smart Assisted Living | Healthcare facilities and home care | Home monitoring of patients: vital parameters in real time from medical devices and wearables, with notifications to healthcare professionals when something is out of range |
| Smart Farming | Farms and agricultural businesses | Silos, greenhouses and open fields: temperature, soil moisture and crop status, with predictive analysis |
| Wind Turbine Management | Wind farm operators | The whole wind farm in one interface: rotor rotation, wind direction and efficiency, for predictive maintenance |
| Smart Metering | Industry, services and cities | Connected meters: energy produced and consumed, for example a solar plant against the factory's consumption, with reports to redistribute energy and lower production costs; also water meters and any meter connected to IoT sensors |
| SCADA | Industry, automotive, gas, agriculture and energy | The cloud SCADA of Mative for remote control and supervision of plants: production lines, agricultural silos, energy plants. One module, with the application the customer needs |
| Charging Station Manager | Operators of EV charging infrastructure | Management of charging stations over OCPP: enables them on the national charging networks, enables charging with deferred payment and monitors them |
| Smart Retail | Retail | Remote and smart management of stores, such as supermarkets and shops |
LM – Logistics Manager is not a module of Things Connector: it is the Mative Cloud platform for logistics, with its own documentation section.
